"My reason for desiging the Gerald Swindle signature series top water rod was that I was looking for a top water rod that could be cast extremely accurate with a nice soft tip and a shorter handle yet still have the backbone to muscle out big bass. I love to throw poppers and walking baits around shallow cover and boat docks. Designing this rod was the perect fit for what I was trying to achieve." PTC664FGS is the Gerald Swindle "poppin'" rod. When throwing a poppin' bait, this rod has a soft tip which provides a distinctive splash to the lure and it also offers the right backbone to get the propper hookset.
